Welcome to my Blog! How quick has the year gone! I can't believe we are already at the end of February. This is just a blog post to share my love and appreciation with you all. If you have been following my journey on social media you are aware that I have quit my professional job as a property valuer to pursue His Helpmeet full time. Its been a long time coming I have wanted to do this full time since 2020 and now that it's full come to this I am so excited. It's already proven to be such a massive act of faith however I am truly blessed that I am able to serve the Lord and meet many wives and women in varying seasons of their life.
I never thought in a million years I would be in a place to encourage other wives in their marriages. At one point I was so confident that I had it all together and I was so sure I was a Godly wife however circumstances often expose a confronting truth. The truth is I set my own standard for a “Godly wife”. I approached my marriage on my own terms. So what happens when your own reality is shattered you start seeking the truth, you humble yourself by repenting and finally decide that you will rest and obey God’s word regarding your marriage.
My marriage isn’t perfect, like you I am still learning, so please know that I am on a journey myself. God is perfect and so is his plan for marriage. I knew one day I would give my heart whole heartedly into this space and I am ready. I grieve when I see Christian women uninformed in their role as a wives, it’s not always their fault - there is a lack of older women guiding younger women in the Body to live out the mandate in Titus 2:3-5 “Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”
I am committed to God to encourage other wives to Love and respect their husbands according to God’s word- to see the value of their role by honouring God. I pray that God enables us to gain confidence and reassurance in his word so that we may obey his commandments to witness and experience the fruit we bear by abiding in HIM. God has redeemed, rescued and restored my marriage in ways I couldn’t even have imagined, therefore I can’t deny the power of his saving Grace.
I pray that as you are reading this as a wife you will stay the course and not give up. Giving up is not an option, even if you are separated from your husband you can trust that God will work in the distance between you and your spouse. Why do I know this? because I have been there. A praying wife is of great value. Surrender your marriage to God, pray and wait on the Lord -He is Faithful.
